QUANTITATIVE RESEARC

QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH Quantitative research involves collecting and analyzing numerical data. It is ideal for identifying trends and averages, making predictions, testing relationships, and generalizing results for large populations. This method is widely used in natural and social sciences, such as biology, chemistry, psychology, economics, sociology, marketing, and others. This article will provide you with an overview of the different types of quantitative research, tips on applying this method, and the benefits of conducting it.   What is quantitative research? Quantitative research is a systematic investigation of phenomena by gathering quantifiable data and performing statistical, mathematical, or computational techniques. Quantitative research collects information from existing and potential customers using sampling methods and sending online surveys, online polls, and questionaries. Characteristics of the Quantitative Research For more reliable data analysis of quan...

MIXED METHODS RESEARCH

Mixed Methods Research According to the  National Institutes of Health , mixed methods strategically integrate or combine rigorous quantitative and qualitative research methods to draw on the strengths of each. Mixed method approaches allow researchers to use diverse methods, combining inductive and deductive thinking, and offsetting limitations of exclusively quantitative and qualitative research through a complementary approach that maximizes the strengths of each data type and facilitates a more comprehensive understanding of health issues and potential resolutions. Mixed methods may be employed to produce a robust description and interpretation of the data, make quantitative results more understandable, or understand the broader applicability of small-sample qualitative findings. Johnson, Onwuegbuzie, and Turner define mixed methods research as “the type of research in which a researcher or a team of researchers combines elements of quantitative and qualitative approac...

TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH

Technological Research Technological research proposes stimulating challenges starting from the new scenarios arising since the XX century, the environmental imperative imposes new responsibilities, the industrial production, requires the rethinking of the concept of "material culture" as well as new information technologies lead to new models of theoretical and conceptual elaboration. The Technological Research Methodology describes how technology develops and improves. It is analogous to scientific methodology. QUESTIONNAIRES

Questionnaires What is a Questionnaire? A questionnaire is a research instrument that consists of a set of questions or other types of prompts that aims to collect information from a respondent. A research questionnaire is typically a mix of close-ended questions and open-ended questions. Open-ended, long-form questions offer the respondent the ability to elaborate on their thoughts. Research questionnaires were developed in 1838 by the Statistical Society of London. The data collected from a data collection questionnaire can be both  qualitative  as well as  quantitative  in nature. A questionnaire may or may not be delivered in the form of a  survey , but a survey always consists of a questionnaire. Advantages of a good questionnaire design    With a survey questionnaire, you can gather a lot of data in less time.   There is less chance of any bias creeping in if you have a standard set of questions to be used for y...
